We are looking for an experienced Herdsperson

We are looking for an experienced Herdsperson to join our family run dairy farm in Dumfries and Galloway, SW Scotland, to assist with the running of our 230 cow herd.

Cows are milked twice daily through a 14x28 parlour, with cows grazing during the summer months.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience of the day to day management of a dairy herd, in particular all aspects of the health and welfare of the cows.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a young and progressive team.

We offer a competitive remuneration package with regular time off. Accommodation is available in the form of a very tidy 3-bedroom cottage on the farm.

Local schools, in Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas, are 5 miles away and the area offers many opportunities for outdoor pursuits in a very scenic part of the country.
