Our Herdsman Foot Trimming course is designed to equip you with the skills you need to reduce instances of lameness on your farm. The LANTRA approved course teaches attendees to trim using the renowned 5-step Method. The course is very hands-on, allowing plenty of time to enhance your skills. The course examines the main causes of lameness and ways to prevent it. Our trainers are all experts in their field .     DIY AI 3-DAY COURSE DIY AI can save you time and money by getting your cow inseminated at the right time without the cost or stress of waiting for the technician. Our DEFRA and LANTRA approved DIY AI Courses are delivered over three days and are tailored to give you maximum hands-on tuition. This allows plenty of time for the dexterity required for a successful insemination to be mastered. The course is taught in small numbers on-farm, giving a relaxed training atmosphere. Anatomy and Physiology Reproductive management strategies Oestrus cycle Fertilisation and pregnancy Insemination technique Semen care Welfare and legislation Nitrogen safety Equipment In order to carry out Do It Yourself (DIY) Artificial Insemination you must have completed a DEFRA-approved training course.

    The Balmoral Show in association with Ulster Bank is Ireland's largest agri food event that entertains and educates the entire family. The history of the Annual Show is one steeped in history, tradition and inspiration. The very first Show was held in Belfast Corporation Markets on the banks of the River Lagan on the 23rd and 24th August 1855. Outgrowing this venue, from 1896 to 2012 the Annual Show was held at the 32-acre Balmoral site in Belfast and was renamed to Balmoral Show. In 2012, again outgrowing the Balmoral and King's Hall venue, the decision was made to purchase and develop a new venue, the 65-acre Balmoral Park.
