McCaskie Engineering is looking for a full-time Field Service Engineer, based at Stirling, covering dairy farms across Central and Southern Scotland.
We're a family-run business that has served Scottish farms since 1957, and the exclusive Fullwood dealer for Scotland. Our engineers are the ones who get the parlour running again when it stops at milking time – installations, planned servicing and call-outs, on farm, every day.
What the job involves
• Installing, servicing and repairing milking parlours, robotic milking systems, milk cooling tanks, feeding and ventilation equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and putting them right
• Planned maintenance and responding to call-outs
• Building trusted relationships with the farmers on your patch
Who it suits
Someone with a mechanical, electrical or agricultural engineering background: a time-served electrician, mechanic or refrigeration engineer who'd rather be out on farms than on a bench, or someone from a dairy background who knows their way round a parlour and wants to make a career of the engineering side. You'll need a full UK driving licence and to be happy working on your own on farm. Full training is given.
What's on offer
Competitive salary, company vehicle, full training and support to develop, and long-term stability with an established Scottish team.
Know someone who'd suit it? Dairy farms usually know who's good with kit, someone you'd trust fixing your own parlour. Please pass this on.
To apply, send your CV and a few lines about yourself to info@mccaskie.co.uk. For an informal chat, call 01786474481 and ask for Neil Rettie. Full details at www.mccaskie.co.uk/career-opportunities/field-service-engineer
