VIBES Awards call on businesses to play their part in helping Scotland meet ambition to be carbon neutral
The VIBES Scottish Environment Business Awards reward and recognise good environmental practice, products and services that demonstrate benefits for the planet, the economy and society.
VIBES is a strategic partnership between Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, South of Scotland Enterprise, Highland and Islands Enterprise, Scottish Water, Zero Waste Scotland, Energy Saving Trust and NatureScot. The Awards are further supported by CBI Scotland, the Institute of Directors, the Federation of Small Businesses, Bright Green Business, Scottish Council for Development and Industry and Scotch Whisky Association.
Past VIBES winners have used sustainable, innovative methods and ideas to achieve better environmental performance. They have made gains via circular economy or met their low waste, or even zero waste, goals and include inventors of clean technology. Winners have pioneered behavioural change within industry and shown that collaboration and inclusive working can solve environmental problems and boost business.
In the year that COP is coming to Scotland the 2021 Awards will showcase the commitment, progress and actions of businesses towards achieving net zero carbon emissions.
Applications are open until 30 July. Entries are free and good practice and outstanding achievement will be recognised via awards and promotion of case studies. All applicants will receive feedback, guidance and signpost to free help from Government agencies in relation to further environmental improvement. More information can be found at www.vibes.org.uk and application packs are available by contacting vibes@sepa.org.uk.
