Questionnaire to help with dairy research.
A University of Aberdeen PhD researcher is conducting a project exploring greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation strategies currently used within UK Dairy farms. As part of this research, we want your opinion about GHG mitigation and whether it is something you consider when making farm management decisions. This questionnaire is part of a broader project where we aim to collect these opinions across the dairy supply chain
We want to hear your honest opinions whether positive or negative about GHG mitigation strategies through this questionnaire. This research aims to understand what strategies are currently used across the UK and whether they were specifically picked for the purpose of GHG mitigation. We also want to hear from those who do not apply mitigation strategies.
In addition, we are looking for participants who would like to take part in further research on their farm. This is completely non invasive and would not interfere with the running of the farm. We would collect samples such as gas, manure, milk and slurry and measure their GHG levels. You would receive a detailed summary of all the data collected from your farm if you wish.
If you would like to be considered for this further research, you can opt in at the end of the questionnaire.
The questionnaire takes approximately 10-15 minutes and can be accessed through the link below or by scanning the QR code.
