Full time position on Bute

A full time position has became available on our family dairy farm based on the beautiful Isle of Bute.

We have an all year round calving herd of 210 holsteins on a grass based system in summer and tmr in winter.

We milk through a 16/16 herringbone with auto ID and adf milking and currently planning investment in dairy facilities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who enjoys working with dairy cattle, is trustworthy and able to use there own initiative.

Daily duties would include milking, feeding calfs/youngstock with some forklift and feed wagon work.

AI and foot trimming skills would be valuable but not essential.

We would also like you to be part of monthly consultancy meetings, plate walk data to plan grazing and generally join in and help do things to a high standard.
