The Saskatoon Colostrum Company Ltd. (SCCL) processes Scottish colostrum into a heat-treated, spray dried, instant mix colostrum powder to replace or supplement maternal colostrum in calves:

SCCL is looking for more Scottish dairy farms in the collection area:

Dumfries & Galloway, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Scottish Borders,

Midlothian, East Lothian, West Lothian, Ayrshire and Stirlingshire.

How does it work?

Contact SCCL if you are located in the collection area

We provide you with a freezer and buckets

You collect excess colostrum from 1st and 2nd milking from healthy heifers and cows (we only ask for your extra, you decide how much you collect)

Buckets with frozen colostrum are frequently collected by T.P. Niven Ltd.

You are compensated for your time at a rate of 70p/kg
