Scottish dairy farms are invited to take part in a parasite surveillance project this summer.
Free worm egg counts, and species identification will be provided for first grazing season calves.
Glasgow vet school is seeking to identify which roundworms species are present in dairy youngstock across Scotland.
Recent surveillance conducted by SRUC/APHA has reported a high number of parasitic gastroenteritis cases in Scotland; at higher rates than that seen in other parts of GB.
We will identify the different species present throughout the grazing season, providing this information to you and your vet; to aid in your herd health planning
