Biogas at Attiquin, Maybole, Ayrshire

Background – the plant

  • A biomethane plant referred to as Biogas Rosefinch (“Plant”), located at Attiquin Farm, Ayrshire.
  • The plant is to have up to 1,000m3 per hour biomethane production capacity and expected to be commissioned by Q4 2026. The plant’s total feedstock volume is expected to be up to 170.000t.
  • AcrEnergy are responsible for the development, the construction and the operations and maintenance of the Plant.
  • At this stage, AcrEnergy will need to have Heads of Terms in place to be able to draw down the funds to complete the “Development Phase” which includes planning permission, all legal agreements (incl feedstock, site lease, construction contractors).
  • The successful completion of the Development Phase Financial Investment Decision (FID) is expected in the summer next year, 2025.
  • £27m capital is readily available to build the plant.
  • At the end of a successful Development Phase the Heads of Terms will be replaced with a full contract, the Feedstock Supply Contract ("FSC"). The full contract will be agreed between the Supplier and the Plant
