This meeting will cover:
What data can be incorporated into the decision-making process to reach business goals, looking at the types and quality of data available on farm
What are the main sources of data used to make management decisions on farm by the farmer and the wider teams
The cost of heifer replacements
What data is available from robots and how this can be used to make business decisions
What data has driven new farm practices and made cost savings on farm

Laura Grieve, senior consultant from Owen Farm Services, will lead on the discussion and will be joined by Jim Currie from LELY (UK) to discuss the data that can be extracted from robotic milking systems and how this can aid farm decision making.

Millands Farm is located near Kilmarnock, Ayrshire in south-west Scotland, where their family have been farming for more than 250 years.
The farm is home to 600 Holstein-Friesians on a spring block-calving system. They achieve 5,400 litres of milk per cow per year, averaging 4.2% butterfat and 3.5% protein.
