Required for an expanding 200 cow dairy unit near Biggar, South Lanarkshire. The herd is fully housed, calved AYR and milked through a new 32:32 rapid exit parlour. Replacements are home reared with beef calves sold at 3-5 weeks.
The ideal candidate must be willing to get involved with all aspects of the herd on a day to day basis with an emphasis on herd health and welfare.
This role is varied to allow the candidate to gain experience in all aspects of the dairy.
Reliability and a willingness to learn are key for this role and will be valued over experience.
Training in house and through third parties will be provided to allow the candidate to grow into a highly valued member of the team
