Area Sales Manager - Scotland

The Opportunity:  To become a key team member of the salesforce for an innovative livestock breeding business. You will promote the company’s products and services to existing and potential farming customers in your designated area. You will have exceptional customer relationship management skills and a passion for helping to match up customer requirements with our client’s products and services to achieve mutual business success. Although you will have full responsibility for the customers in your area from arranging initial meetings, to providing technical guidance, to ongoing customer care, you will be actively supported by other account managers and the UK sales manager to ensure that sales opportunities are maximised within the wider organisational strategy.

Skills/Experience Required:

Essential

  • An in depth knowledge of the UK dairy industry
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • The ability to build and maintain solid and long lasting customer relationships
  • Results driven, motivated personality
  • The ability to be a key team player, able to collaborate effectively with team members to produce successful business outcomes
  • Effective time management, managing own diary on a day to day basis
  • Excellent presentation skills whether to groups or one-to-one

Desirable

  • Degree in Agriculture / Animal nutrition and/or equivalent qualification
  • Previous on farm account management experience

Remuneration: A competitive salary plus annual bonus structure and company car
