The 'THE LATEST SCORE ON LAMENESS – DETECTION & PREVENTION STRATEGIES' event is one of many events listed. View all events.
Join us on Monday 23rd November at 8pm for the first in a 2 part series of webinars to learn more.
Now is an exciting time with many new research findings and industry initiatives to help manage and reduce the impact of lameness in dairy herds
Colin Mason of SRUC Veterinary Services will discuss some of these latest research findings and advances in the prevention and treatment of lameness in dairy herds and how these might be implemented on a farm.
The focus will be predominantly on the claw horn lesions, identifying and managing the risk factors for your farm and putting in place early detection and preventative strategies with the farm team and the foot trimmer.
SAC Consultants Lorna MacPherson & Alison Clark, will also discuss the findings of their current project looking at lameness detection levels in herds which manually score and those which carry out automated scoring using the CowAlert system.
