The 'Stranraer Sustainable Dairy Group – Managing Forage Stocks to Maximise Cow Performance' event is one of many events listed. View all events.
The drought in summer 2021 compounded with high fertiliser prices is making forage planning for winter rations and for 2022 very difficult. We will focus on how the group is managing winter forage stocks & plans for 2022, get a fertiliser update from Lorna Galloway and look at what can be learnt from organic systems in terms of growing grass and managing stocking density to maintain milk yields and cow health.
