The 'Soil, Slugs and Metal: Optimising the Relationship' event is one of many events listed. View all events.
This event will be hosted by the Chapman Family at South Redbog Farm. Philip Wright, of Wright Resolutions Limited and past Technical Director of Simba International will feature as main speaker, where he will explore the relationship between cultivations and soil performance, and look at how performance of ‘metal’ can be optimised to get the most out of the soil. Dr Andy Evans of SRUC will also take the group through the differing methods of slug control, and how slug populations can effectively be controlled whilst also protecting the water environment.
This event is open to all, and free to attend, however places are strictly limited and will be given on a first come first served basis. Lunch is also included.
If you’re a farmer, crofter or land manager, book your free place now: it’s open to all but it is expected that this session will fill up quickly. Booking is absolutely essential.
