Herdsman Foot Trimming Training Course for farmers

Ayrshire Multiple day event: 28 – 02 Mar
  • Small groups for individual tuition
  • Practical ‘hands on’ course
  • Course structure includes equipment needs, maintenance and applying blocks.
The course intentions are to equip you with the trimming skills so that when you return to your farm you can trim using the 5 step Dutch method.
 
Disease and lameness conditions will be covered during an initial short lecture programme then practically during the trimming sessions on farm
 
After trimming about 500 feet it is advisable to come back to a check day where our tutors will check technique and assist with development.
