Hannah Dairy Research Conference 2026 - 9 and 10 November

Moredun Research Institute Multiple day event: 09 – 10 Nov
The 2026 Hannah Dairy Research Foundation Next Generation Dairying Conference is now open for registration.

The conference, on 9 and 10 November, focuses on the responsibilities of farmers and the broader dairy industry to consumers, the environment, animals and more.

Eminent international speakers will address different aspects of Responsible Dairying. The first three confirmed speakers are Prof Mizeck Chagunda (Roslin Institute), Dr Joe Neary (University of Liverpool) and Dr Orla Shortall (James Hutton Institute and Trinity College, Dublin). Mizeck will discuss global responsibility issues with focus on modern genetics, Joe will consider the partnerships that are required to ensure responsible animal husbandry and Orla will recount her fascinating experiences of the impact that dairying has on local communities around the globe.

The Conference will be held at the Moredun Research Institute, Edinburgh as a two day meeting on Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 November, 2026. In addition to Plenaries there will be short oral and poster submitted presentations, a pre-Conference session organised by the Journal of Dairy Research and a post-Conference visit to the SRUC Greenshed project nearby.
