The 'Growing grass: simple use of nutrients and fertiliser' event is one of many events listed. View all events.
Join AHDB’s Siwan Howatson, Grass & Forage Scientist and James Holmes, Resource Management Scientist for a discussion on making the best use of slurry, manure and fertiliser.
The webinar will be suitable for livestock farmers who are looking to create a nutrient management plan and prepare for the next grazing season.
Feeding grass and forage crops properly can boost growth, reducing bought-in feed requirements. Minimising losses of nutrients, such as nitrates, nitrous oxide and phosphates through appropriate fertiliser, manure and slurry applications, can create a win-win situation for both farmers and for the environment. During the webinar, we will explore the pros and cons of the many different methods available to create a nutrient management plan.
James and Siwan will discuss:
The webinar will last approximately 35 minutes, with time for questions at the end.
If you can’t make the webinar, please still register, as it will be recorded and sent to you afterwards to watch in your own time.
