Join us for an interactive workshop to learn about how brothers James and Wallace Hendrie can reach heifer pre-bulling target weights on their spring block calving herd while grazing.
You’ll see how maximising grass utilisation, growth and management can promote stable growth. And you’ll discover why maintaining the correct energy balance at grass in early lactation, gets heifers off to the best start in their milking career.
Joe Patton from Teagasc, a consultant specialising in nutrition of the grazing herd will examine the farm’s previous performance and share the best options to achieve the targets.
