The 'New Entrants to Farming: North East – setting up a profitable enterprise (Insch)' event is one of many events listed. View all events.
New Entrants to Farming in the North East of Scotland are invited to join us for this on-farm event looking at what to consider when setting up a profitable enterprise.
In this evening workshop, we will visit Newton Home Farm, Insch, and Petty Farm, Fyvie, where Clarke Hibberd will give us a farm tour. Mr Hibberd will describe his current farming system, after which we will collectively review the business, looking at its strengths and weaknesses, before suggesting strategies to consider to help progress the business further.
SAC Consulting’s Charles Bruce will lead the meeting and will discuss enterprise profitability and finance.
This event will give New Entrants the necessary tools to look at business opportunities from an objective viewpoint. The meeting is being run in response to a training need which has been identified by new entrants and young farmers in the area.
