The 'New Entrants to Farming: Establishing a Profitable Enterprise (Lanark)' event is one of many events listed. View all events.
This meeting will provide participants with a practical on farm session beginning with a tour of East Shawtonhill. Greg and Hazel Laughton will describe the current farming system before the group will be asked to perform an appraisal of the business highlighting any strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that they may find. The group will have the opportunity to analyse the business and provide suggestions as to the best strategy to take the business forward for the future.
Robert Taylor (Galbraith) will also discuss enterprise profitability and finance opportunities for new entrants and young farmers alike.
This meeting will provide both new entrants and young farmers with the necessary skills and tools to analyse business performance and enterprise opportunities from an objective viewpoint.
This is a free event open to all new entrants and young farmers with a BBQ and refreshments provided.
