The 'New Entrants to Farming: Business planning & setting up a viable enterprise – Ayr' event is one of many events listed. View all events.
During this evening, workshop-style event, we’ll get a tour of an arable enterprise owned and managed by local new entrant Cameron Ramsay. Cameron will give us an insight into his current system. The group will then be asked to appraise the business looking at its strengths and weaknesses, then decide on a strategy to take the business forward.
The concepts covered during this event will be equally applicable to anyone involved in or considering a livestock enterprise. The workshop will be led by Robert Ramsay, an agricultural consultant with SAC Consulting, who will discuss both enterprise profitability and business finance.
This event will give New Entrants the necessary tools to look at business opportunities from an objective viewpoint. The meeting is being run in response to a training need which has been identified by New Entrants and young farmers within the area.
