Fertiliser calibration: the practice

Webinar

This session is focussing on fertiliser calibration in-field and is a practical session for farmers and operators run with Trevor Johnson, Acare Services Ltd, who operates fertiliser calibration and NSTS tests across East Anglia.

This webinar will look at:

  • The benefits of fertiliser spreader testing
  • Meeting the requirements of NVZ and cross compliance and farm assurance
  • Calibrating different types of spreaders
  • Accurate calibration and best practice methods: tray tests, co-efficient of variation, ballistics
  • Common visual problems and faults – how to spot and remedy them
  • The cost if you don’t get it right…
  • Health & Safety considerations

This will be a very practical session, with a lot of visual pictures, photos and videos of calibration in practice and the common problems.

There will be plenty of opportunity for you to ask your questions and we will be joined on the panel discussion session by Ian Forman, NSTS Manager and a farm manager.

BASIS and NRoSO points available. This webinar is free to attend.

Join us for the latest and a reminder on the key points, before you go out calibrating your spreader and putting on the first N of the season.
