The 'Engaging with the Dairy Consumer Workshop #ShoutAboutDairy' event is one of many events listed. View all events.
AHDB Dairy and Dairy UK are leading a consumer facing campaign around the newly created "Department of Dairy Related Scrumptious Affairs" which uses humour to spread emotive taste messages and reiterate the nutritional value of dairy in a balanced diet. While we will be using social media recruits (who already have an established following of our target audience) to spread campaign messages, we really need the help of farmers to support the campaign and extend our reach to the next generation of dairy consumers.
The programme: We know that you’re really great at being dairy farmers and producing fantastic dairy products but how do we get that message across? These workshops are designed to give you the skills, resources and confidence to engage proactively with shoppers and the general public to promote a positive dairy message and for the benefit of the wider dairy industry.
At these workshops John Bates; Senior Media & PR Manager at AHDB will cover the following:
- Talking about and describing dairy farming to the general public – levels of knowledge and understanding, use of terminology and tackling challenging subjects
- How to tackle critics constructively and respectfully
- Where to find resources to help you spread the dairy message
- Hard copies of supporting resources will be available at the workshop to take away!
Who Should Attend? Farmers who are passionate about dairy farming and would like to proactively engage with the consumer.
The cost of attending this meeting is funded via your AHDB Dairy levy. Booking is essential and places at the meeting are strictly limited and so will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
We may consider running this same workshop on other dates/locations should the above events be over-subscribed but this is not confirmed.
To book your FREE place at one of the above events or to register your interest in supporting the campaign and attending future events, please contact the AHDB KE Events Hub on 01904 771216 or firstname.lastname@example.org or for more information contact Becki Leach on 07595 415756.
